It is an unseemly sight to see your baby with those crusty scales. And that is what they call cradle cap. Not that it is harmful as my doctor informed me, but it requires good amount of care. And also caution, because unattended, it can spread to other parts of the body other than the scalp where it usually finds its origin.
At first, I and my husband were worried whether we were mindful enough of the hygiene of our baby, but then cradle cap has causes not exactly determined. It may due to overactive sebaceous glands in the baby about which we may not be able to do anything.
But what we can do best is to treat cradle cap with mild herbal medicated shampoos. Well, if you may ask me where to find them, I would certainly refer to the Internet, because that is where I found some real effective stuff. There are numerous products there and you can read the specifications and reviews and decide for yourself, especially if the symptoms are not severe in your baby.
